Other Internet Radio Player Options
As with most new technologies, you'll find that there are numerous ways to listen to OC Talk Radio and all the
other Internet Radio stations suddenly appearing. These include:
1. Internet Radio Player Programs Most of these will NOT play our station today. That's because they only play a limited number of pre-selected stations. There are literally THOUSANDS of Internet Radio stations to chose from (including traditional, "terrestrial" radio stations simultaneously "streaming" over the Internet and Internet only radio stations consisting of music, talk or both) and no way to "move up and down the dial" (as you can with traditional radio signals which are limited to a narrow range of available airwaves somewhere between "garage door openers" and "cell phone signals").

Unfortunately, It takes quite some time and effort to get added to all these different, pre-selected
lists of Internet Stations. So for now, we have arranged to be included on only one such free
"closed player": Radio Time. Just type in "OC Talk Radio" or look under their "talk" category.
2. Actual Internet Radios. These are still somewhat of a novelty. They are expensive ($150 to $200+) and need an Internet hookup. Most are Wi-Fi enabled for wireless Internet connection.
And most of the units we've seen suffer from the same "limited number of stations".
There is (however) one that we'd urge you to check out: the new Sangean RCR-8WF WiFi Internet Clock Radio (w/dual alarms and added FM capability). It's the only one we know that CAN be programmed to play our station using the following method from their User Manual:
Your Internet Radio has been programmed by a British company, Reciva Limited.
Reciva allows you to register your radio on their web site, and then to associate a
choice of radio stations with your radio. These stations can be selected from the
large selection already listed. Additionally, if you find a radio station that is not listed
then you may also add the Internet address (URL) of the station’s audio
stream to your selection.
3. Programmable Radio Players Some of the newer Internet Radio Player Programs have found a way around these inherent limitations. They allow you to play ANY Internet Radio Show or Station as long as you know the station's "streaming address".
You can tune in to our stream directly at: http://amber.streamguys.com:4850/live.m3u.
The only "programmable radio player" that we've used and can recommend (both because it's free and easy) is Screamer Radio.
4. And of course, you can just keep listening thru our website by simply clicking on the large, "listen live" button on our home page. This opens whatever audio player you have loaded onto your computer and automatically directs it to our "live stream" address.
